The colour forecasting report

The following is the reason why I choice the group colour for my color forecasting.

Kenzo Takada is the founder of Kenzo. Kenzo is a Japanese fashion designer. Kenzo is a magician of colour. Since the mid-1960s, when he moved from Japan to the city of Paris. He has devoted himself to the creation of fashion design. Kenzo is come from Japan, so he introduce Japanese harmony and culture and righour to his designs. Kenzo’s credo is both simple and true: ‘The world is beautiful.’ So his design is colorful. Mixing a decorative array of global influence, from his own Japanese heritage to ancient Rome, form the steppes of Asia to native America, the art of Kenzo is a joyful celebration of life itself.
Japanese clothing is colorful, including red, blue and yellow mix together. So, Kenzo’s design you can see the Japanese clothing element. It is become the brand image.

From the beginning, the Kenzo brand has fascinated the fashion world with its unusual mix of eastern and western influences that is translated into traditional shapes that appeal to a multitude of cultures. The KENZO brand is one of the most famous brands in the world of fashion, as it introduces the idea of movement into clothes and accessories.

The basic image of KENZO is their feminine style and fantastic colors. This image is clearer now ever since the introduction of KENZO flower: poppy. The beautiful color captures our eyes and reminds me the active attitude that KENZO has toward colors. An abundance of flowers, a festival of colors, a mixture of East and West that you can always see Kenzo’s design.

But the Brand of Kenzo change new designer. In 1999, Gilles Rosie became Kenzo. Since 2003, the artistic directorship of KENZO has been in the hands of the ltalian Antonio Marras. Kenzo Takada created the brand image and culture. I think now Kenzo’s new designer should keep Kenzo’s culture and create more elements in Kenzo’s design to make the brand more popular.

Antonio Marras has developed a rich, poetic world made of a diversity of influences and a fusion between fashion and other forms of art.Antonio Marras invents a contemporary language, creates clothes that tell stories, for women who love freedom and authenticity and are always questing for originality.
F/W 2008 collection design is from Japan Wabi-sabi. Designer of Kenzo is Antonio Marras. Designer use many type of flower pattern in design. He keep Japan culture in the brand.

For the brand of Kenzo, the brand of designer express free, happy and comfortable taste lifestyle. So designer use more colorful colour. Designer use the color come from nature like flower red, sky blue, tree green. It is principle of familiarity, make our feel comfortable. Kenzo’s brand are always use rose red, green, blue, but change the colour intensity, hue, chroma to make hamrmony of colour.

Kenzo by Gilles Rosier Spring 2002

Designer Gilles Rosier favored the exotic tropics as an inspiration for the Kenzo spring 2002 collection shown in Paris.

The general silhouette flowed well; it fitted up top and relaxed and loosened from the waist down.

Simply cut vests came with slouchy pants, fitted jackets with wide miniskirts or airy knee length shorts.

The fabrics were au naturel: gauze, crepe, linen, mesh and netting, perfect for sunny climes.

Colorful embroidery was everywhere, small flowers were scattered over jacket shoulders and grew down into an explosion of florals at the waist, roses grew up the length of skirts and across shirts, tropical birds flew across the backs of silky jackets.

The palm print was used throughout the collection, on white and gray blouses, hanging off the shoulder with matching shoulder bags and on draped pantsuits and headscarves.

"I went through all the old Kenzo collections," Rosier told FWD backstage. "I wanted to design a modern twist on the Asian influences, on the painted and embroidered leather pieces."

There were also neutrals, perforated leather pieces, baggy combat pants and smock tops in safari shades of sand and beige, and explosions of color like a saffron yellow full-length light coat and a lacquer red jumpsuit.

The accessories -- openwork leather belts, bracelets and leather and mesh flat sandals -- completed a collection just perfect for a faraway, rich and rustic locale.
